Undershirt
An item at Metropolitan Museum of Art
A visually pleasing garment with its decorative embroidery, perhaps what is most interesting about this piece is its provenance. The undershirt was made for Louise Garbin Zabriskie, born May 30, 1864. The Zabriskie's were a prominent Brooklyn family and their social standing is evident by the high quality of this piece of infant wear.
