This bottle and its pair (68.141.226) are engraved with the arms and coronet of Evelyn Pierrepont (1665–1726), fifth Earl of Kingston-upon-Hull, later Marquess and Duke of Kingston.

The fifty thousand objects in the Museum's comprehensive and historically important collection of European sculpture and decorative arts reflect the development of a number of art forms in Western European countries from the early fifteenth through the early twentieth century.
