This rare British porcelain figure is a close copy of a Chinese original depicting Lu Dongbin, an 8th-century scholar and one of the Eight Daoist Immortals. White porcelain figures from China were greatly admired and imitated in Europe. This figure could have been displayed on a mantle or inside a china cabinet.
