Dress
An item at Metropolitan Museum of Art
This is a particularly beautiful infant's dress hand-sewn by a skilled person. The amount of fabric used in the skirt is out of the ordinary, but when the child wearing the dress moved, it would have been very visually effective and graceful. The shape of the sleeves and the refined piping are both testaments to the great care taken in making this dress.
