Jacket
An item at Metropolitan Museum of Art
This high-styled infant's garment reflects the styles of the time. Every detail is in place, including the gathering of the interior lining which is visible through the net layer. Great attention was also taken to the detail at the sleeve cuffs. The sprig embroidery patterning worked on the net was typical of early nineteenth century garments.
