Collar
An item at Metropolitan Museum of Art
As it was customary to refashion fine laces, early lace pieces in their original form are fairly rare. That the lace pattern fills the whole space and conforms to the shape of the piece indicates this collar is in its original form. The ties are later replacements for the original ones.
