War Chariot
An item at Metropolitan Museum of Art
This massive chariot takes on the architectural proportions of an open-domed pavilion. The red-ochre understudy survives, as this work never reached the next stage of finishing in which the lines would have been reworked with brush and ink.
Asian Art
