Kano Tsunenobu

An item at Metropolitan Museum of Art

This album, one of a set of two, contains meticulous miniature copies by Kano Tsunenobu of famous Chinese artists' works. Each painting bears an inscription indicating that it was executed in the manner of a specific artist. Although assembled according to subject, the leaves in this album are also paired so that one in color appears on the left and one in ink on the right.
