Water pot with dragons among clouds

An item at Metropolitan Museum of Art

This water pot was most likely used while writing with a brush and ink. The dragon coiling around the surface was painted in an intentionally murky fashion, creating the impression that the dragon is at a distance or flying through a cloudy sky.
